Fourth of July is just around the corner and you don’t want to miss any of the fun and exciting activities planned for this year’s community event in Anaheim Hills.
Events include the annual Firecracker run/walk beginning at 7 a.m. at Canyon High School’s lower field; the pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Canyon High cafeteria; and Yankee Doodle Dog Show at 9:30 a.m. in the outdoor amphitheater at Canyon High.
This year’s parade begins at 1 p.m.; it starts out from Canyon High’s lower parking lot area. Food booths will be open from 3 to 8:45 p.m. at Peralta Park where continuous entertainment is planned from 5 to 8:45 p.m. The spectacular fireworks show begins at 9 p.m.

***Canyon Hills Presbyterian deacons organizing blood drive
A blood drive is scheduled for 1 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 26 in the Fellowship Hall of Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church. The community is invited to donate.
This important event is sponsored by the deacons of the church in conjunction with the American Red Cross to help replenish critically needed blood supplies. Your blood donation will help those in the community, your friends and neighbors.

When Anaheim Hills resident Carla Carlini became part of a mentoring program at the University of Redlands four years ago, she expected to share her academic and professional experiences. What she never imagined was that it would become such a reciprocal experience giving her insight helpful in working with her own younger staff members or that she would be asked to become a “master mentor.”
