9th anniversary of the Chatsworth Metrolink crash – Orange County Register

On September 12, 2008, A Metrolink commuter train collided head-on with a Union Pacific freight train in Chatsworth after its engineer ran a red light while texting young railroad fans, killing 25 and injuring 135 in the deadliest commuter rail disaster in California history.
