1. Shampooing everyday

If you have oily hair, you should shampoo it about every other day. If you have dry hair, you can hold off a little longer. Not only does day-old hair style better but it also looks better than freshly-washed hair.
2. Going multiple days without washing your hair
While shampoo everyday is a big hair care mistake, not washing it regularly is another factor that can also damage your hair. This is actually detrimental to your hair’s health because if you do not wash frequently, the bad bacteria on your scalp breed faster, causing itching and dryness. So you should shampoo your hair regularly to remove dead skin cells from the scalp as well increase blood circulation to the hair follicles, thus creating a healthy environment for hair to grow from.
3. Rubbing your hair with a towel
Towel-drying your hair too rough to dry it out in a hurry is another mistake that you need to stop making. When your hair is wet, it is in its weakest state. If you rub your strands with a towel, this can create a harsh friction that can damage hair cuticles and cause frizz. Instead, you can use an old t-shirt made out of microfiber to pat your hair until it is just damp.
