Buena Park to use elementary school as temporary fire station for personnel displaced by January fire

Saturday, April 1st, 2017:

Buena Park firefighters and staff displaced by a January fire that burned down Station 61 will soon call Walter Knott Elementary home. Scattered throughout north Orange County since the 50-year-old building was destroyed, about 40 fire personnel are expected to start working out of the Centralia School District site by the end of April, city officials said. Crews will use the school between 12 and 18 months, while a new $13 million fire station is built nearby.
