Children’s TV celebrated a milestone birthday this week, marking 70 years since Muffin the Mule first clip-clopped on to screens in 1946.  Presenter Annette Mills was the sidekick of the horse puppet made by a famous Punch and Judy creator in the 1930s.  Sidekicks were added as the show progressed including Kirri the Kiwi and Zebbie the Zebra, and most importantly the programme paved the way for other shows aimed at children.  1.
