'Loves It' owner fearful for subscription's future as Canada Post strike looms –

A business owner who runs a subscription based mailing service from Mount Pearl is stressing out ahead of the possible Canada Post lockout on Friday. On Tuesday morning, the crown corporation served notice required to give them the legal option to lock out employees within 72 hours. Ashley Porter is the owner of Loves It, a service that mails monthly packages filled with local products to homesick Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living on the mainland. Electrocuted bear cubs fall from power pole, ignite fire

Tuesday, July 5th, 2016:

BANNING, Calif. (AP) — Southern California fire officials say a brush fire was ignited when two bear cubs climbed a power pole, were electrocuted by high-voltage lines and their burning bodies fell to the ground. Riverside County firefighters responded at 1:46 a.m. Tuesday to the blaze in Banning. They stopped the fire’s spread at 1½ acres. The mother bear and another cub were in the area while 63 firefighters worked the blaze, but they were not considered a threat.
