Stagecoach warns of post-vote uncertainty

Stagecoach on Wednesday reported a 37 per cent fall in pre-tax profit during 2015-16, as it warned of “economic, consumer and political uncertainty” following Britain’s vote to leave the EU. The transport operator, which runs buses in Europe and the US and trains in the UK, generated £104.4m in pre-tax profit in the year to April, compared with £165.2m in 2014-15.
