2012 London Olympics Venue Hadleigh Farm Improved

The spectacular  event of 2012 London Olympics can be enjoyed at fullest with your lively presence at the beautiful city of London! The official name of 2012 Summer Olympics Games is Games of XXX Olympiad. The event is scheduled to be held from 27th July to 12th August 2012. Based on the feedback of all the riders and International federation who participated in the Mountain Bike test event held in the month of July, changes have been done.

To enhance more opportunities for the athletes, parts of course has been widened. On the other hand, new features have been added to increase the technical difficulty for the participants. The main climb has been extended as riders need to cover 172 metres of climbing per lap.
The starting loop has been enhanced with a new climb. This will be used on the first lap of races. Sport Debbie Jevans, LOCOG Director said, “These changes to the course have been implemented after feedback from the elite athletes following the test event and from conversations with the UCI. We are confident that the London 2012 course remains one of the most technically challenging courses at an Olympic Games, whilst we have ensured that it is as competitive as it can be by increasing the number of places where competitors can pass each other.”
For the Hadleigh Farm and Hadleigh Country Park site, Essex County Council and Salvation Army launched legacy plans. This will comprise of improved cycling trails and visitor facilities. In the London 2012 Mountain Bike Competition, 36 nations participated featuring 50 riders for Men’s race and 30 for Women’s race.
